- Now why would the FDA prevent soda and candy from being fortified with nutrients? Almost everyone consumes them. Why not get something useful out of them? Hell, some of this cereal they eat has more sugar than a candy bar yet it's fortified. No logic.

- The OP is correct. I used to cut sheets of plastic with a circular saw as part of my job. You get a strong onion smell from the hot plastic. Acetane. Same stuff used in making meth.
